Windgather Chronicles and Hobbit Day

Our end of year performance this year, 'The Windgather Chronicles' was written entirely by our oldest children and filmed and recorded on location at Windgather Rocks! With costumes, make-up and props, the actors, actresses and support crew headed up the hill and filmed in situ ... we have heard that boggarts, elves, wizards and even a dragon were spotted by local walkers and climbers that day - such fun!

Our oldest children then prepared an exciting activity day for the rest of the school inspired by their story 'The Windgather Chronicles'.

Help was sought from all the children - or rather... all the hobbits and fairies in school - to retrieve three lost items: a key, a compass and a map!

Various exciting challenges had to be overcome to achieve this. Once the items were found the whole school were able to celebrate - hobbit style! What a day it was!
